Casella rules for Cart Placement
With our automated service, cart placement is extremely important to guarantee our trucks can access them for pickup on collection days. The mechanical arm on the garbage trucks needs to have clear access to your cart(s).
Cart Rules
Place your Garbage and recycling in the cart(s) provided to you by Casella
Do not overfill or place things outside of your cart
Place your cart within 2 feet of the roadside, with the handle facing toward your property.
Each cart should have 3 feet between it and any other item such as another cart, etc

4.3. Bulky Waste and Construction Refuse
Bulky waste shall be collected on regular collection days. Bulky items should be of a size and weight which may be reasonably lifted by two persons. Residents will be encouraged to call the contractor when such items are to be left out. Construction debris, consisting of one container or bundle, shall also be collected on regular collection days.

Carts may be placed roadside 24 hrs prior to collection day (Thursday) and are to be returned to your property within 24 hours of pick up.
Carts are not to remain in the roadway all week long!
